About Me

I’m Ainsley, and I run 7th Floor Studios, offering music production, mixing and mastering.

I’m a producer, sound engineer and songwriter, with credits including Train, Beverley Knight and Jesse & Joy — the latter earning me two Latin Grammys for sound engineering in 2013.

I’m also a published songwriter, with releases under Peermusic, BMG and Universal.

I started in the industry over 25 years ago. I spent six years at Kensaltown Studios in London (now part of the legendary Eastcote Studios) as an in-house engineer, beat programmer and technical manager, working alongside Sacha Skarbek (Adele, Miley Cyrus, Aurora), Martin Terefe (Jason Mraz, Yungblud, KT Tunstall) and Dyre Gormsen (Jack Savoretti, Jamie Cullum, Mary J. Blige). Regular collaborators included Jamie Hartman (Lewis Capaldi, Rag’n’Bone Man) and Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens).

During that time, I also assisted on sessions with artists such as Adele, The Kooks, Jason Mraz and Craig David.

In 2013, I relocated to Berlin and now run 7th Floor Studios.
